Active Shooter Training/Mass Shooting Training and Workplace Violence

Since 2006, an average of over four mass shootings have occurred in the United States annually, killing an average of 40 people (and injuring over 70) each year.

Nearly 2 million American workers report having been victims of workplace violence each year, and workplace homicides increased by 83 cases to 500 in 2016. In fact, workplace violence and other injuries by persons or animals became the second-most common work-related fatal event in 2016.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s General Duty Clause, Section 5(a)(1), requires companies to take steps to prevent and control the hazard of workplace violence. OSHA fines for violating Section 5(a)(1) have cost companies tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Our active shooter trainers are acclaimed, former military and law enforcement personnel with training and experience in executive protection.  In addition to preparing your organization for active shooter/mass shooting situations, Blue Glacier can assist in creating or improving your workplace violence prevention program, to include identifying and prioritizing your organization’s workplace violence risk factors.
